Public Health Dentistry

The Department of Public Health Dentistry at GDCH Jamnagar is committed to promoting oral health at the community level through education, prevention, and delivery of dental care to underserved populations. The department conducts extensive outreach programmes across schools, villages, and community centres throughout the Saurashtra and Kutch region.

The department plays a leading role in national oral health surveys, fluoride studies, dental caries epidemiology, and implementation of preventive dental programmes. It also administers the School Dental Health Programme and Mobile Dental Unit services.
