Program Overview

GDCH, Jamnagar is constituted by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat and is under the direct control of it. Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Jamnagar is committed to delivering high skilled training on various disciplines of dentistry, making it suitable for the students who desire to make their name in this field.

Every year, our Institute trains about 19 students for postgraduate MDS program in 6 specialties of dentistry namely — Periodontology, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, and Oral Pathology & Microbiology.

Eligibility

Candidates should hold a recognized B.D.S. degree and satisfy NEET-MDS eligibility criteria prescribed by the competent authorities.

Seat and Counselling Notes

  • 50% of seats are filled through All India Quota counselling by MCC, New Delhi.
  • The remaining seats are filled through Gujarat state postgraduate counselling.
  • The institute follows government quota admission norms and does not operate management or NRI quota seats.

Application Steps

  1. Participate in the official counselling process and secure allotment through the relevant authority.
  2. Report to the college with original certificates and prescribed admission forms.
  3. Complete document verification, fee payment, and joining formalities.
  4. Submit hostel and institutional forms if required.
  5. Keep all submitted records, allotment letters, and payment acknowledgements safely.
